Checkout ImagineFX one hundreth issue! A great edition or which I’m again lucky to feature on the Q&A panel!
As part of the QA I created a timelapse video which you can watch here:
Space Fortress Video
It was a lot of fun working on the horror poster and space fortress for the QA and the video was a real challenge!
As always there are a lot of great artists to admire and learn from in this super edition of a great magazine!
I forgot to post my last two QA’s for ImagineFX (been very busy) Sorry about that!
I was fortunate earlier this year to work on new artwork for the band Sham69, and it looks as if the new album is about to be released to the public according to the official website : http://officialsham69.com/NEWS.html
Was a lot of fun creating this nostalgic type of artwork for the band. The direction they gave me for the artwork was “think of the film Escape to Victory”, and I just took it from there! Click on the above to view the original artwork.
It’s been quite a while since I updated my website! Sorry about that! I’ve been really busy this year with different projects and have neglected to blog the things that I’ve been doing.
Since the last update I’ve had two ImagineFX magazine Q&A columns published earlier this year and late last year, and I’ve been working on quite a few non-fantasy/sci-fi related projects. When I get more time I will post a few of the newer artworks I’ve been working on.
I’ve added a new video, which is in fact an old video! It’s the first timelapse painting I posted on youtube but the difference this time is that I created the audio track so the copyright is fully mine. The finished picture is already in my gallery but you can watch the video by clicking on the picture above.
Fantasy flight games have released their latest Chapter pack for a Game of Thrones Living Card Games. this is the forth pack from “Beyond the Narrow Seas” entitled “A Harsh Mistress”. I was very lucky to paint some of the cards in this pack and seeing that they’ve now been released I can share my experience of the process.
This one is entitled “Ghost of Winterfell”. My brief was to paint two men passing on a snowy night both aware that one or the other may be a ghostly assassin (or something along those lines). This was a fun one to do having just watched the first season of the TV game of thrones series.
Big thanks to my sons Louis and Jack for posing for this painting.
Check our a great edition of ImagineFX this month! The focus is on pulp art which is one of my favorite forms of fantasy and science fiction art. There’s some great workshops and plenty of other features to keep Fantasy & Sci-Fi Art lovers more than Happy!
..It just so happens that I have two QA’s in this issue! Check out the two questions I answered this month and lookout for a rare bit of line art from yours truly.
